I layered my ideas to create an interactive installation for the familiar-unfamiliar project, where familiarity is symbolized through showering and newspapers, adding allegorical meaning. The Innocent Railway Tunnel represents the unfamiliar, with 'unseen' people releasing their burdens in a liberating way, contrasting with the famous figures in the news. The tunnel’s acoustics enhance any sound, contrasting with the gentle dripping of a shower. My friend introduced me to TensorFlow.js, a version of PoseNet, allowing real-time human pose estimation in the browser. The audience engaged with the newspaper curtain, searching for hidden symbols and patterns within its layers, while the video projection sparked their imagination. Feedback suggested that spatial guidance could enhance the experience, encouraging people to focus on individual elements like video, sound, smell, and textures for a more holistic interaction.
